B3: Empowering vulnerable communities: Increasing resilience and adaptation finance for off-grid solar solutions

Without off-grid solar, a just and inclusive energy transition is not possible. The off-grid solar industry is the fastest and cheapest way of bringing low-carbon electricity to hundreds of millions of climate-vulnerable people, and helps them adapt to a changing climate. Yet, to date, the industry has only received a small fraction of climate finance.  In this session, we will hear from those working at and with climate funds and foundations, and on national adaptation planning, and ask: “What does the distributed renewable energy industry need to do to better access climate, resilience and adaptation finance?”
