C9: The circular opportunity: maximising value for consumers and companies

Globally, electronic waste generation is growing at a pace five times faster than our ability to recycle it. The off-grid solar industry has ambitions to buck the trend and efforts to deal with solar e-waste have been amplified in recent years – but greater adoption of circular solutions (from design thru to reuse) is needed to ensure a sustainable future-for the sector. This session looks at the success and limitations of e-waste management in off-grid markets and how adopting practices like repair, refurbishment, and battery repurposing can unlock significant value for both consumers and businesses. Grounded in real-life case studies, solutions and resources, the session aims affirm industry priorities and get us closer to closing the loop on a fully circular OGS sector.
