BioLite develops and manufactures clean cooking, charging, and lighting technologies for off-grid households across sub-Saharan Africa. We partner with distributors to deliver these to low-income households across emerging markets. BioLite has delivered clean cookstoves and SHS to approximately eight million people, and these products have cut two million tons of carbon emissions. BioLite has doubled its scale and impact in sub-Saharan Africa every year for the last five years, and was ranked #1 by 60 Decibels among 54 clean energy social enterprises in their rigorous Impact Index for reaching low-income households, providing them first time energy access, and significantly improving their lives. Our vision is to provide 20 million people with access to clean energy and avoid three million tons of CO2e by 2027.
