Transforming Impact Finance through Digital Monitoring Reporting and Verification (“dMRV) : Pitfalls, Potential, and Pioneering Solutions

This panel session will address the existing gaps in the availability of trusted, up-to-date, and reliable data in the energy access sector, currently hampering the effectiveness of off-grid energy project financing. 

The session will explore how emerging digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (dMRV) systems can solve this challenge: the provision of robust, real-time data, can  bridge data gaps, unlock new financing opportunities, and accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (“affordable and clean energy for all”). 

This discussion will highlight both the pitfalls and potential of dMRV systems while showcasing pioneering  projects being currently piloted and driving innovation in the sector.
